Background: CANDLE (chronic atypical neutrophilic dermatosis with lipodystrophy and elevated temperature) syndrome is a recently described autoinflammatory disease that manifests in early infancy with recurrent fever, violaceous swelling of the eyelids, purpuric skin lesions, hypochromic anemia and elevated acute phase reactants.
